Partner Programs - Citizen Corps' five federally sponsored partner programs help build capacity for first responders through the use of volunteers.

Serve.gov
Answer the President's Call to Service. Give back to your community and gain valuable life experience by serving as an AmeriCorps member or VISTA.

Ready.gov
There are many ways to Get Involved especially before a disaster occurs.  The whole community can participate in programs and activities to make their families, homes and communities safer from risks and threats. So gather your neighbors, relatives and friends to learn about and prepare for emergencies.

WV Voluntary Agencies Active in Disaster (WV VOAD) 
WV VOAD is a humanitarian association of independent organizations that may be active in all phases of disaster. Its mission is to identify unmet needs and facilitate efficient, streamlined service delivery to those impacted by disaster. Donate or Volunteer!

American Red Cross
American Red Cross offers multiple trainings and volunteer opportunities. Call your local chapter to find out more or visit the national website.

CERT
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills. CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.

MRC
Medical Reserve Corps utilize volunteers who want to donate their time and expertise to prepare for and respond to emergencies and promote healthy living throughout the year. MRC volunteers supplement existing emergency and public health resources.
