In order to receive a Community Priority a Citizen Corps Council must:

- Engaging the Faith Based Community in Disaster Preparedness
- Spontaneous Volunteer Management
- Youth Programming
- Planning for Special Populations
Individual Training Scholarships
Citizen Corps provides scholarships for volunteers to attend a variety of disaster preparedness, response, or administrative trainings. Volunteers must be actively serving an organization in West Virginia that has a role in disaster preparedness, response, or recovery. See a list of training opportunities. Email Gina.L.Namay@wv.gov for a scholarship application.
